Located on the Bristol harbourside, Spitfire is a venue serving a fusion of South African and Deep South wood fired barbecue food.
Set amongst festoon lighting, the exterior hosts a great space for all year round dining with open braziers and great views of the harbour.
The large restaurant offers over 100 covers and is run by an open plan kitchen fitted with Kamado Joe barbeques. On visiting the space prior to works commencing, we found one big open space and instantly set out to add texture, depth and zoned areas.
Design inspirations were drawn from backyard barbeques and open barn spaces, an element of American dining has had an impact with the use of rusty petrol cans, a feature bar made from reclaimed steel posts, neon signing and orange button back seating throughout.
