Clifton Kitchen - Restaurant Design

Based on the site of Keith Floyd's first restaurant, Clifton Kitchen looks back to that era of informal fine dining. The restaurant design concept is modern British food served in a relaxed dining atmosphere, as though the customer had been invited to eat in the chef’s own kitchen.

The challenge was to create as many covers as possible on the ground floor, (the only level with natural light). To try and create a bistro kitchen feel a bespoke wallpaper was designed in the style of pop artist, Patrick Caulfield. The restaurant designers used classic pub furniture, but brought it up to date with a vibrant colour palette.

Tan button back banquette seating, a tiled servery wall and colander lampshades complete the eclectic kitchen look. Despite a very narrow shop front, distinctive branding gives the venue a strong presence at street level.
