We wanted to share our design proposal for Diglis basin in Worcester. The aim is let the natural beauty of the building shine through, we hope you like it.
We hope you like the design proposal for the new Diglis basin. We've suggested the name East Dock to tie in with the shipping heritage of the site and the Asian influences of the menu. Inside we've kept everything pretty bear, the building is beautifully proportioned and has a fantastic exposed timber frame, so needs little embellishment. We've added a floor to ceiling wine display by the door, the only blank area of the building. Along the service wall is a natural brick finish with foil lined pockets to receive and reflect the flickering light of candles. At the top end of the building is a slightly segregated bar area, with a curved deep buttoned banquette to back onto the restaurant, the bar itself has a ceasarstone top, and a polished steel perimeter to a shimmering mosaic fascia.
